Colorado Renewable Energy Forum (CREF) advancing the creation of local ownership models

More than a year ago an unincorporated organization of stakeholders engaged in renewable energy development began to meet and eventually called their meetings the Colorado Renewable Energy Forum (CREF).  Currently, CREF continues to meet monthly with topics and issues that seek to bring together agricultural, energy, financial and legal professionals, local communities, and advocate organizations committed to the development of renewable energy resources.  A local ownership workgroup has formed out of CREF that is supporting the development of locally owned renewable energy projects.  The workgroup is presently focused on the development of recommendations to submit to the Public Utilities Commission’s review of the Least Cost Planning Rules that determine how energy sources are selected.  For more information about CREF please contact Colorado Working Landscapes at 303-283-3524 or frank@workinglandscapes.com
